SUMMARY:WETRA Volunteer Days with the Corvette Club of Windsor
DESCRIPTION:WETRA (Windsor-Essex Therapeutic Riding Association) is a local non-profit that has been changing lives since 1973 by offering therapeutic horseback riding and equine programs for people with physical\, cognitive\, and emotional challenges. Through the power of horses\, riders gain confidence\, strength\, and independence in a fun and supportive environment. WETRA also relies on volunteers to make these experiences possible\, whether it’s helping with lessons\, supporting special events\, or lending a hand around the farm. \nThe Corvette Club of Windsor is lending a hand this fall\, and we’re looking for volunteers on September 15th\, 16th\, and 17th (any or all days) to help with a wall-painting project at WETRA. DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nThe Corvette Club of Windsor has organized group travel plans\, and we are hoping for a good turnout from the club membership. \n\nDepart Windsor mid day Friday\, September 19. We will meet at the Amy Croft Sobey’s Plaza parking lot adjacent to Gold Star Jewelers. We leave at 9:30 so please arrive by 9:15. We will have a casual cruise to Walkerton\, Ontario where we will arrive late afternoon and be staying at Best Western Plus Walkerton Hotel & Conference Centre. We will not travel on any 400 series highways.\nDepart Walkerton Saturday September 20 at 7:30 AM and travel to the western muster point – Alliston\, Ontario – by 9:30. There are four muster points with timed departure to arrive at Fern Resort together late morning.\nAfter arrival and check-in there will be a reception and welcome BBQ on the pool decks overlooking Lake Couchiching. You are free to explore the resort and use any of the amenities.
