SUMMARY:WETRA Volunteer Days with the Corvette Club of Windsor
DESCRIPTION:WETRA (Windsor-Essex Therapeutic Riding Association) is a local non-profit that has been changing lives since 1973 by offering therapeutic horseback riding and equine programs for people with physical\, cognitive\, and emotional challenges. Through the power of horses\, riders gain confidence\, strength\, and independence in a fun and supportive environment. WETRA also relies on volunteers to make these experiences possible\, whether it’s helping with lessons\, supporting special events\, or lending a hand around the farm. \nThe Corvette Club of Windsor is lending a hand this fall\, and we’re looking for volunteers on September 15th\, 16th\, and 17th (any or all days) to help with a wall-painting project at WETRA. DESCRIPTION:Recently\, Cory and Laurie Burdick lost their son\, Colten Burdick\, at the tender age of 20 years old to suicide. They are having a fundraiser to help support Mental Heath Awareness and start a Trust Fund for their two grandchildren\, Colten’s son and daughter. Keaton is 17 months old\, and Leona Lynn is 13 months old. \nThe fundraiser is a Poker Run for both Motorcycles and Muscle\, and Classic Cars. The proceeds will be going to Noah’s House Mental Health Foundation Inc\, located in Windsor and Trust funds for the two children. \nKevin Renaud will be leading a group from our club.
